At the University of Alberta, Michaela completed her undergraduate degree in biological sciences in 2017, and graduated with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy in 2019. Michaela also competed for five years as a member of the varsity tennis team, which contributed to her interest in physical therapy. Through working in hospital, clinic, and home-care settings, Michaela has extensive experience in the assessment and treatment of common geriatric conditions and surgeries such as: general frailty, lower back pain, stroke, Parkinson’s disease, joint replacements, fractures, cardiac and pulmonary conditions. Michaela’s assessments include looking at the home environment to optimize function and reduce fall risks, combined with functional exercise and manual therapy to help her clients reach their goals.
