    Conditions Our Vestibular Physiotherapy Treats

Our vestibular physiotherapy services can help manage a variety of conditions that affect balance and spatial orientation. Here are some of the common conditions we treat:

    Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV)

This common vestibular disorder causes brief episodes of mild to intense dizziness. Physiotherapy can help reposition particles in the ear that cause vertigo and provide relief.

    Labyrinthitis

This inner ear problem results in inflammation that can lead to vertigo, hearing loss, and difficulty balancing. Physiotherapy helps by reducing symptoms and improving balance.

    Vestibular Neuronitis

Vestibular Neuronitis is similar to labyrinthitis but without hearing loss. Our treatment focuses on restoring balance and decreasing dizziness through specific exercises.

    Meniere’s Disease

Meniere’s disease is a condition that affects the inner ear and leads to vertigo attacks, hearing loss, and tinnitus. Our therapists use tailored exercises to help manage symptoms and improve daily function.

    Vestibular Migraine

Vestibular migraines cause dizziness and vertigo without the classic migraine headache. Physiotherapy helps manage these symptoms effectively.

    Age-Related Dizziness and Imbalance

s we age, our vestibular function may decline. Physiotherapy helps strengthen the body’s balance and coordination mechanisms, reducing the risk of falls.

    How Physical Therapy Can Help

Physical therapy can significantly improve the management of vestibular disorders. It starts with a comprehensive assessment to understand the nature of your issue, followed by a personalized treatment plan that focuses on retraining your balance system and reducing symptoms.

Over time, vestibular physiotherapy can noticeably reduce episodes of dizziness and improve balance, allowing for a more active and fulfilling life. The exercises promote adaptation processes in the brain that compensate for inner ear issues, stabilizing your internal sense of equilibrium.

Our therapists also provide education on managing symptoms at home and preventing future episodes, empowering you to take control of your vestibular health. This guidance includes practical tips and exercises tailored to your specific needs, helping you handle your symptoms independently.

At InHome Physiotherapy Solutions, we are not only experts in our field but also deeply compassionate. We understand the challenges you face and are dedicated to providing patient-focused care so that you feel supported and valued.

I booked InHome physio for my > 90-year-old mother twice. One time when she hurt her knee in a freak accident, and just recently, after a partial hip replacement. Both physiotherapists. (Mike the first time and Brennan now) have been absolutely awesome. My Mom really likes them and they are keen on getting her independent and so are fully engaged even though she is elderly. So often, people don't put their best effort into supporting the elderly, but these gentlemen are very dedicated to their patients regardless of their age. Mom says thank you!

This was the first time I had a massage prior to my back surgeries in 2023. It is difficult to find a therapist who will come to the house. Getting out for appts is difficult. I waited awhile for a massage spot to open, but it was worth the wait! My body was sore and having spasms constantly. My massage helped so much with the knots in my legs. The hour went by too fast. I am looking forward to my next massage. Very experienced therapist!!
